How... the Union works
A fair question!
Students elect an Executive Team of other students who take on political representative campaigning roles within the Students' Union. To ensure the Students' Union is doing what it should, and its strategic direction is clear and well planned, a Trustee Board meets 5 times a year.
To ensure our democracy is open to all, students elect a Democracy Committee of five students.
The Students' Union employs about 30 full time permanent members of staff and about 100 part time student staff, who are lead by the LSESU Director, who reports to the General Secretary on a day to day basis, and the Trustee Board through the year.
