What does it do?
The Students Union is a charitable organisation and is run by students for the benefit of students.
The weekly Union General Meeting is the principal decision-making body of the Union. Any student may attend and the UGM. Voting occurs online immediately after the UGM.
The day-to-day representation of students is handled by the Executive Committee, consisting of sabbatical officers and part-time executive officers. All these officers are elected by the entire student body in elections every March.
Elections and the UGM process are managed by the Democracy Committee. The Democracy Committee also handles disputes within the Union.
